December Product Update

Happy Holidays everyone! We are wrapping up the year with our final product update for the year. Big thanks to everyone who has supported Pagecloud in 2022. We have big plans for 2023, so stay tuned! 

What's new this month? 

Custom thank you pages

You can now redirect your forms to a custom thank you page! Just create the page and set the redirect in your "form settings" under Success Page:

Turn off automatic image optimization

We automatically optimize your images to improve page speed. But if you would rather optimize your own images, you can disable image optimization for all images in a Section or Column. Add a disable-image-optimization=”true” data attribute in the Advanced tab in your Editing Menu

New embeds!

We have added support for a number of embeds including:

• TikTok 
• Airbnb 
• TagEmbed

TIP: You can always copy and paste the embed code from a service directly onto a section in the Pagecloud editor to see if it works.

Bugfixes

• You can now upload multiple mp4's with the same name without them overriding each other. 
• Background videos now work correctly on tablets where supported
• Display of labels in a blog widget filter will no longer cause overflow in the popup.  

Performance & Usability

• We have continued to improve the performance of Blog widgets and Blog listings. 
• The "Add Section" button in the Pagecloud editor now has a more apparent label and is easier to find. 
• Some efficiency gains and improvements added to the palette when working with Pagecloud objects that have animations already applied to them. 
• We've made significant improvement in Text Auto-Reflow speeds in Manual Columns. 
• We have removed the labels on individual objects, these labels can now be found in the breadcrumbs at the top of the right palette. 
• Guides have seen around a 300% performance improvement. 
• New animations for file uploading and anything that has a progress bar has been released 

What's coming this January?

In addition to squashing bugs, UI enhancements, and new features added to the editor, we have an exciting release coming in January!

Design Sidekick is a Chrome extension that finds all colors, fonts, and other design styles that exist on any web page. Save your favourite styles, and copy paste styles directly into your Pagecloud page! 

Pagecloud users can also use Design Sidekick to quickly edit their pages using the Edit in Pagecloud button.
